Route plan A

If you are looking for a casual way to spend your Saturday, you are in luck. We will be exploring the shoreline of Becher Bay, doing a sheltered crossing behind Fraser Island and over to the beautiful beach at Aylard Farm. We have often spotted whales in the bay, so keep your fingers crossed. Seals, otters, sea lions and the occasional bear have been spotted, not to mention the countless sea birds. I hope you can join us. The plot will be slightly different from the one posted.

Route plan B

If the wind is too substantial we will stick to shoreline only.

Safety reminders

Always dress for the possibility of immersion and please bring a drybag containing a spare change of clothes. Please bring a lunch or snacks and sufficient beverage to keep you hydrated, as well as a thermos of something warm. Your paddle leader will introduce the plan and make sure everyone is comfortable with the requirements. Please stay off the water until the group is ready. If you have a VHF radio please bring it with you.
